Finspång is ideally located in the logistics corridor between Örebro and Norrköping and close to Linköping University. The municipality has direct access to national road 51, which runs between Örebro and Norrköping and connects to both the E20 and E4 motorways.

Take part in the business climate survey
Each year, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringsliv) carries out a survey and ranking of the local business climate in Swedish municipalities. The purpose of the survey is to give business owners the opportunity to share their views on the business climate in their municipality. The responses from business owners in Finspång are then used to help improve municipal services and contribute to a better business environment.

Insikt – business climate survey of municipal services in areas of public authority
Each year, business climate surveys are carried out on the municipality’s exercise of public authority in relation to businesses.
The result is referred to as the Insikt survey or NKI (Customer Satisfaction Index) and is conducted by Origo Group.
Finspång Municipality follows the results because it is important to understand how business owners experience their contact with the municipality. The results are used in the municipality’s development work relating to decisions made by public authorities.
The survey covers four areas of public authority: building permits, environmental and health protection, food inspections and alcohol licensing. Other areas included in the survey are reported separately. Finspång also measures decisions within fire protection and land use permits, which are voluntary areas to include.
The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKR) is responsible for the web portal where municipalities can continuously follow their results, as well as the presentation of national results and the annual ranking of municipalities in the business climate survey.
You may be contacted as a business owner
A survey is sent to business owners who have had a municipal case concluded during the measurement year. Six areas of public authority are measured: fire protection, building permits, land use permits, environmental and health protection, food inspections and alcohol licensing.
Results in April
The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKR) publishes national results and municipal rankings for the business group in what is known as the Open Comparison of Business Climate. These are published in April in the year following the survey.

Tillväxt Finspång is an economic association that supports and inspires development, skills supply and collaboration in Finspång Municipality.
The association consists of the municipality as well as companies, associations and organisations operating in Finspång. We share the ambition that Finspång should be one of the best places in Sweden to operate a business, live and work. The mission of the association is to lead the work towards achieving Vision 30/35, which aims for Finspång Municipality to have 30,000 residents by 2035.

Entrepreneur of the Year
Entrepreneur of the Year is an award given to an individual business owner who has made a significant contribution in Finspång during the year. The award is presented by Företagarna, the Swedish Federation of Business Owners.

Finns i Finspång is a fair that creates a meeting place for companies, organisations and visitors. The aim of the fair is to highlight the positive aspects of living and working in Finspång.
The fair is organised every second year, and Finspång Municipality is one of the main sponsors.

Svenska Industrikommuner is a network established in 2015, and Finspång Municipality is one of its member municipalities.
The purpose of the network is to strengthen local conditions for continued industrial development in the participating municipalities. Svenska Industrikommuner is a unique network that plays an important role in promoting Sweden’s attractiveness for investment and thereby supporting growth.
The network works, among other things, to discuss and analyse:
- Strategies for creating a strong local business climate
- The importance of industry in Sweden and how its future can be influenced
- How local work to strengthen industrial attractiveness and renewal can be developed
- How clear national strategies and new ways of thinking can be combined with stronger local action by municipalities
- How the network can promote awareness of the importance of industry at both national and regional levels

Through the brand Kraften i Finspång, we work together to attract visitors, residents and businesses to Finspång.
The place brand Kraften i Finspång is managed by the economic association Tillväxt Finspång and serves as a shared open platform for everyone interested in developing Finspång, including residents, the municipality and the business community.
