The waiting time depends on how many people are ahead of you in the reservation queue, how many copies of the book are available in the Götabiblioteken system, and when the borrowed books are returned. Yes, if you have that person’s permission and their library card/personal identity number along with their PIN code.

Return books and pay fees

Yes, you can return and borrow books at all libraries in Östergötland as well as in Tranås.

Different types of media can have different loan periods. If there is a reservation queue for a book, the loan period will be shorter to reduce the waiting time.

You will only receive fees if you do not return your borrowed items. First, you will receive two reminders. After the second reminder, your library card will be blocked. If you still do not return the book, a fee will be added to your library account. This fee will be removed if you return the book or pay the replacement cost at the library.

E-books and e-audiobooks
