Finspångs kommun
For children and young people
Welcome to the library’s children and youth services! Here you can find information about what our younger visitors and borrowers can do at the municipal libraries.
Children’s section – for the little ones
At the libraries in Finspång and Rejmyre, you’ll find the children’s section - a dedicated area for children of all ages.
In 2023, we opened our new children’s section at the main library in Finspång. The space invites children to explore, take part in various activities, and is inspired by nature in its design. You’ll also find small animals here that will become part of upcoming programs and educational activities.
On the “Apple Shelf” (Äppelhylla) in the children’s section, you’ll find books adapted for children with different needs. There are books in various languages, as well as books with signs, braille, and tactile elements. We also offer nonfiction books about disabilities, for both children and adults.
Would you like to visit the library with your preschool group or school class to borrow books outside our regular opening hours, or perhaps book a librarian for a book talk or read-aloud session? Contact the library to schedule a visit.
We deliver book boxes to preschools outside the urban area. All preschools in Finspång Municipality can also request themed boxes, which we deliver upon request. Contact the library for more information and to book boxes.
Young Adult Section - for ages 13 and up
The young adult section at the main library offers a wide range of books and graphic novels for anyone aged 13 and above. But you don’t have to borrow a book just because you’re at the library!
You can also do other things here - like studying, using a computer or booking a room. We also have books in different languages. Just ask us and we’ll help you find something that suits you.
