Borrow and reserve
Here you will find information on how to borrow and reserve books and other materials from the libraries. If you are a new borrower, you need to start by getting a library card before you can borrow or reserve items.
To be able to borrow and reserve books and use our online services from home, you need a library card. To get a library card, you must present valid identification. Remember to bring your library card or ID when borrowing materials from the libraries.
Always open online
At the libraries of Finspång Municipality, fixed opening hours apply if you want to visit in person. But if you don’t want to wait, or if you find it more convenient to reserve books and media online, you can always visit Götabiblioteken on the web. There, we are open around the clock.

If you want to borrow books, you first need to get a library card. Use the links below to register yourself or your child online.

Library lending services
At the main library, you can use our self-service machine. It allows you to borrow and return books easily and conveniently. To use the machine, you can either scan your library card or enter your personal identity number. If you’re unsure how to proceed, feel free to ask a staff member for assistance.
If you want to return your books, you can do so via the library’s book drops located in Finspång and Rejmyre. The book drop in Finspång is located by Förvaltningstorget, outside the children’s section, a bit to the right of the upper entrance doors of Kristallen. In Rejmyre, the book drop is located at the library’s entrance.
The book drops are provided as a service to make it easier for you to return books at any time of day. The returned books are collected during the library’s regular opening hours.
The Book Box in Finspång gives you the opportunity to pick up your reserved books even when the library is closed.
If you wish to use the book box, simply select Finspångs Bokbox as your pickup location when placing a reservation. Then just wait for your delivery. You will receive an SMS or email notification when your reserved items are ready for pickup.
To collect your reservation, scan your library card on the display and enter your PIN code. A compartment will open, and you can collect your items. The book box is located on the entrance floor of Kristallen.

Saturdays: 8 - 18
Sundays: 10 - 18
