Preschool
If you are working, studying or looking for a job when moving to Finspång Municipality, your child is entitled to a preschool placement from the age of 1 to 5. Children who are 3 years old are entitled to public preschool. This is offered to all children from the autumn term of the year they turn 3.
In Finspång Municipality, there are both municipal and independent preschools, as well as pedagogical care. Pedagogical care is an alternative to preschool or after-school care.
To get a preschool placement, you need to submit an application.
Public preschool
Your child is entitled to public preschool starting from the autumn term of the year they turn 3. This applies to all children, regardless of the parents’ employment status or family situation. Public preschool offers 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 11:00. It is free of charge. Your child will be offered a placement within one month after you submit your application.
What does childcare cost?
When your child attends preschool or pedagogical care, you pay a monthly fee based on your household income. The fee is charged 12 times a year.
The amount you pay depends on your total household income and the number of children in the family who attend childcare.
There is a maximum limit for how much you can be charged for childcare.
