Children and young people living with violence
Children and young people who live in families where violence occurs are affected. They may witness or hear the violence, and sometimes they are directly exposed to it. Finspång Municipality provides support and assistance to children and young people who are affected by violence.
You are not alone. Support is available.
Children and young people who have lived with violence in the family for a long time and have been exposed to repeated trauma may develop post-traumatic stress disorder. They may also be exposed to violence themselves. Violence is a crime, and if you experience it, you are a victim of a crime.
- Do you often feel sad?
- Have you heard your parent being threatened or assaulted?
- Have you yourself been threatened or assaulted?
- Do you think it is your fault?
Here is where you can get help.
It is society’s responsibility to support and help children and young people who have experienced or witnessed violence. You can receive support and help through Finspång Municipality and the services listed below.
